United States Steel Corp. recently appointed two new executive leaders to help advance its Best for All strategy.
According to a press release, Christian Gianni has been appointed as the company's senior vice president and chief technology officer (CTO) and John Gordon has been appointed senior vice president, raw materials and sustainable resources. The two new executives will work as members of the company’s executive management team under David B. Burritt, president and chief executive officer.
“I am honored to join U.S. Steel at such an important inflection point in their history,” Gianni said, according to the press release. “Putting the customer at the heart of every decision we make is critical to our success, and I am excited to help advance the U.S. Steel transformation with customer-driven, profitable steel solutions and innovation.”
Gordon said he is thrilled to be a part of the U.S. Steel team, according to the press release.
“The company’s mining assets set it apart from its competition, and I am delighted to help unlock their value,” Gordon said.
These positions will serve to help drive U.S. Steel's Best for All strategy to deliver high-quality steel solutions to its customers while advancing a more secure, sustainable future through all U.S. Steel industries from automotive, construction and energy and their stakeholders.
