People in the United States are now able to buy products from the highly regarded Japanese bedding manufacturer NISHIKAWA online or in person at a store in Los Angeles now that the company has expanded sales to America.
NISHIKAWA announced the opening of "AiR by nishikawa" in Santa Monica Place and the launch of an online store earlier this month.
"We will continue to provide quality sleep solutions to help the people of the United States 'Sleep Well and Live Well,'" Yasuyuki Nishikawa, president of NISHIKAWA, said in a Dec. 16 press release.
NISHIKAWA added that the company was the first private business in Japan to have its own institute specializing in studying sleep technologies. According to the release, NISHIKAWA provides quality, functional bedding and innovative services based on technology developed over many years utilizing scientific research.
NISHIKAWA's Japan Research Laboratory of Sleep Science was founded 38 years ago, according to the release. The company itself started in 1566 and has been in the family for 15 generations.
In the release, NISHIKAWA stated the company's "AiR" mattress was highly rated two years ago at CES2020, Las Vegas' consumer electronics and information technology trade show, which led to the company's expansion to the United States.
