Thoma Bravo recently opened an office in London in an effort to expand its global footprint, according to a press release.
"Europe is a critical market for the growth of Thoma Bravo, and the launch of a London office represents a significant step forward in our ability to partner with some of the best software companies in the world as we continue to extend our investment strategy globally," Orlando Bravo, a founder and managing partner at Thoma Bravo, said. "I am delighted to welcome Irina to the firm, and I am confident that her extensive investing and leadership experience will help accelerate our international presence."
The new establishment serves as the global software investment firm’s fourth location, strengthening existing booming operations in San Francisco, Chicago and Miami.
It will focus on deals deriving in the U.K. and Europe to gain access to “the region's rich ecosystem of innovative and fast-growing software and technology companies,” a recent press release states.
Under the terms of the new expansion, Irina Hemmers will be appointed as a partner to help manage and kick off the new office’s business operations, and help leverage the firm’s general presence in the region.
Prior to accepting her role, Hemmers led Inflexion Private Equity’s technology investment team as partner and head of technology. Before that, the Harvard Kennedy School and Tulane University graduate became a partner for Apax.
