Trane Technologies recently promoted Dwayne Cowan to the role of president of its Thermo King operations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and corporate officer of the Enterprise Leadership Team; a recent Business Wire press release said.

The executive's new position, which also includes Global Marine, Air and Rail processes, became effective Aug. 1.

“Dwayne is an outstanding leader with extensive experience in our Thermo King business, who has a reputation for delivering business growth while keeping customers front and center and creating an uplifting and inclusive culture for his team,” Dave Regnery, Trane chairman and CEO, said in the release. “He will continue to expand Thermo King’s role as a market leader in delivering sustainable refrigerated transport solutions, including our goal to provide fully electric products in every segment of the cold chain in EMEA by 2023.”

After assuming his new position for the global climate innovator, Cowan reports directly to Regnery. Now based in Brussels, Cowan took over the duties of Francesco Incalza, who returned to the U.S. to service as vice president of Audit Services.

In his new role, Incalza will report to CFO Chris Kuehn and the Trane Technologies Board of Directors' Audit Committee.

“Thermo King is an industry leader in refrigerated transport, and I’m thrilled to take on this new role during an exciting time, when we’re helping to transform the industry for a more sustainable future, while bringing new and innovative solutions to our EMEA customers,” Cowan said in the release.

Prior to assuming his new role with Trane Technologies, Cowan contributed to Thermo King Americas as vice president of Sales and Service. During his 16-year tenure with the company, he has held district and regional sales and product management positions.

Cowan "has a track record of achieving substantial business growth through diverse market conditions and meeting customers’ evolving needs through innovative solutions," the release said.

Cowan holds a bachelor's degree in biological engineering from the University of Georgia and a master's degree from Arizona State University.
