Lucid Group, Inc. CEO on new leadership: 'Together, they bring decades of global expertise'

Lucid Group, Inc. recently appointed Evelyn Chiang as VP of process transformation, and Walter Ludwig as VP of global logistics to aid the company’s global expansion, according to a press release.

"I'm delighted to have Evelyn and Walter join the Lucid leadership team," Lucid's CEO and CTO, Peter Rawlinson, said. "Together, they bring decades of global expertise and operational excellence to the company."

Scheduled to report to Rawlinson, the two new additions will collectively contribute decades of operational experience, gathered at Mercedes, Tesla and SAP, and will be tasked with overseeing the enterprises efforts intended to leverage automotive techniques.

Under her new role, Chiang will be tasked with leading the company’s general growth strategies. With more than 30 years of executive leadership experience, she has committed her time to carrying out business improvement strategies, the development of global supply chains and distributing enterprise-wide automation solutions on a global scale. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology graduate has previously worked for SAP, Tesla and Siteimprove, among various others.

Similarly, Rawlinson will help develop and implement operational strategies to expand its automotive logistics and parts operations. According to the press release, he will specifically focus on “supplier capacity management, inbound and outbound logistics, launch and change management, material planning, material handling engineering and data management.”

Ludwig has contributed to the automotive industry for more than 28 years. He has worked in various leadership roles, including head of operations, head of quality and most recently, head of central logistics. For the last two decades, the GHS Essen graduate has maintained a central focus on manufacturing plant operations in Germany, China, Russia, Argentina and the United States.
