French company Verimatrix recently appointed Asaf Ashkenazi as Chief Executive Office, based in San Diego, California.

“This evolution and reinforcement of the Verimatrix governance structure aligns well with the company’s needs as we further the progression of our business model,” Amedeo D’Angelo, Executive Chairman of Verimatrix, said. “I look forward to working closely with Asaf in his newly expanded role as CEO during this strategic development of Verimatrix.”

The role will become effective on Monday, August 1. Until then, the company’s operations will continue to be led by D’Angelo, who has held the position since 2015.

Under his new role, Ashkenazi will oversee the company’s ongoing business model transition, which will now focus on the development of new products and recurring subscription-based revenue sources. He will also direct the development of cybersecurity expertise and management processes. His new focus serves as an upgrade from his previous tasks, which consisted of overseeing the company’s R&D, product, sales and marketing operations

Before joining Verimatrix, Ashkenazi contributed to Qualcomm and Motorola.
