OpenVault recently appointed Stuart Eaton as vice president of sales in Latin America, according to a press release.

"From our earliest deployments in LatAm to our work with the largest operators in the region, providers consistently have recognized the business and market benefits of OpenVault technology," said Mark Trudeau, CEO and Founder of OpenVault. "Stuart Eaton's connections and expertise will bring new operators into the OpenVault community and will help existing customers migrate to new solutions for better customer satisfaction and bottom-line results."

Under his new role, Eaton will be tasked with offering existing and potential customers across Central America, South America and the Caribbean help as they navigate OpenVault's SaaS-based tools to improve their network performance and monetization abilities. He will also help launch new products capable of enhancing “broadband capacity without node splits costs, and that can improve provider profitability and visibility into sources of broadband traffic," a recent press release explains.

While tending to his duties at OpenVault, he will also continue managing the company’s local distribution partners, Lotier International, Power & Tel and TVC operations.

"LatAm opportunities are almost never one-size-fits-all," Eaton said. "Using OpenVault's rich portfolio of tools and products, we'll work closely to tailor results to each customer's individual needs. We help operators adapt to a challenging marketplace as our research and development team pioneers new breakthroughs."

The executive brings in more than 15 years of telecom sales leadership experience in the Latin American region.  He is credited with contributing to the improvement of ROI and overall telecom performance over the course of the last two years. Some of his previous positions were based in Avantel in Mexico, Embratel in Brazil, Embratel Americas and PeerApp.

Before joining OpenVault, Eaton serve as global VP of sales for IS5 Communications and oversaw the Americas’ business development for both Akleza and PCCW Global.
