Nobu, based in New York, has entered a long-term agreement with Millenium Hospitality Real Estate SOCIMI to further expand its European footprint, with plans to launch its new Madrid-based hotel, a press release reported.

"We are absolutely thrilled to finally launch in the magnificent city of Madrid,” Trevor Horwell, CEO of Nobu Hospitality, said in the release. “A bustling mecca of art, culture and cuisine, the Spanish capital is an important destination for us. This will be our fifth hotel in Spain, and we look forward to further expanding our Spanish footprint to create a truly memorable hospitality experience for local residents as well as our international Nobu guests."

According to the press release, an existing office building located in the Spanish capital's Cortes District, at 26 Calle Alcalá, between Plaza de Cibeles and Puerta del Sol, will be transformed into Nobu Hotel Madrid.

The new establishment will feature a tri-level Nobu restaurant and bar, a rooftop bar, a fitness center and spa. Californian architectural/design group, Studio PCH, led by Severine Tatangelo, will contribute to the design, as it has for multiple Nobu properties, including Nobu Malibu and the Nobu Hotel San Sebastián, set to open in 2023, according to the press release.

The addition marks Nobu’s 11th hotel in Europe. The company has also launched similar property developments in London, Barcelona, Ibiza, Marbella, Warsaw with Rome, San Sebastián, Santorini and Hamburg. The project is the second of its kind to be recently announced by Nobu and Millenium's collaboration. The launches form part of Millenium’s catalog of five-star hotels across Spain and Portugal.

"I'm so pleased to be announcing our second project with Nobu Hospitality, and the launch of Nobu Hotel Madrid,” Javier Illán Plaza, president and CEO of Millenium Hospitality Real Estate said in the release. “We are so proud to continue our great relationship with such a successful luxury international brand and bring to the city of Madrid the Nobu experience and the exciting restaurant and rooftop bar which we're sure will be well received by local residents and travelers alike."
