Transmit Security recently expanded its footprint in Europe to meet the demands of its passwordless customer authentication in the region, among other services, according to a press release.

“Our expansion comes at a critical time, not just for us, but for the market here in Europe. With the increase in account takeover fraud, we’re seeing substantial demand for passwordless customer authentication that doesn’t require a specialized app or token,” Dr. Thore Rabe, the new vice president and general manager of Transmit Security for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), said in the release.

With more than two decades leading operations for several European companies, including Qumulo, Dell EMC, NetApp, Fujitsu Siemens and Computer Associates, Rabe is tasked with overseeing all operations in the EMEA region.

As demand continues to grow in Europe, the customer identity and access management service provider has invested heavily in the region, increasing its staff by 255% across EMEA.

“The pandemic-fueled growth in mobile app usage along with the brick-and-mortar return of consumers means businesses need stronger, easy-to-use authentication that works across all of their channels,” Rabe said.

According to the press release, the company’s catalog of clients in the region includes HSBC, UBS, Telepass S.p.A., Santander, MetroBank and NN Insurance, among many others, representing more than €330 billion in annual revenues.

Transmit Security also worked to increase its exposure in the area by presenting its technology at the Gartner Identity & Access Management Summit  in London earlier this month.

“Transmit Security helps its customers in the region address many customer identity challenges, including improving customer experience across their digital channels while strengthening authentication against phishing and other threats,” the press release states.
