Arctic Glacier, LLC, based in Saint Paul, Minnesota, has acquired North Star Ice Ltd. of London Ontario and opened a new state-of-the-art production facility in Montreal, Quebec, a press release reported.
“North Star Ice has an outstanding reputation for customer service and quality products. We are excited to continue their legacy and warmly welcome North Star Ice Ltd. customers and associates to the Arctic Glacier team,” said Richard Wyckoff, CEO and president of Arctic Glacier, LLC, in a press release.
According to the press release, Arctic Glacier now reports a total of 15 locations across Canada. Its newest addition is set to begin production at the end of this month to better fulfill local demands.
Through this transaction, the company hopes to strengthen its presence as an ice manufacturer and distributor in the North American region.
Led by the Smibert family, North Star Ice Ltd. specializes in the production and distribution of packaged ice products to the retail grocery, hospitality and recreation industries in the area.
