Xponential Fitness, Inc. has signed a Master Franchise Agreement in Mexico. The deal will cover the company’s three brands: StretchLab, Rumble and AKT, a press release reported.
“Mexico is the third largest country in the Americas in terms of number of fitness facilities and now is an outstanding time for Xponential Fitness to enter that market,” chief international development officer for Xponential Fitness, John Kersh, said in a release. “We are excited to partner with Grupo ITISA and are confident that Danny Arditti and his exceptional team are the right people to develop the Xponential brands across the country.”
The agreement guarantees the international boutique fitness brand franchiser the chance to license a minimum of 60 studios across all three brands over the course of the next decades.
Leading the new fitness and wellness business for Grupo ITISA as brand director is Danny Arditti, who will be tasked with expanding Xponential’s reach in Mexico. He will also be responsible for designing and implementing new concepts for the company.
“We feel privileged to bring Xponential’s world-class boutique fitness offerings to Mexico and look forward to diversifying our successful platform of high-end brands already present in Mexico,” Arditti said in the release.
According to the press release, the collaboration is signed with the Mexico Master Franchisee, a division belonging to the division of Grupo ITISA, a large infrastructure-based company in Mexico. The company also contributes to the hospitality sector alongside Danish furniture store, Bo Concept and the popular American family entertainment brand, Chuck E. Cheese.
The expansion follows Xponential’s recent acquisition of its 10th boutique fitness brand BFT, an Australia-based functional training and strength-based fitness franchisor with more than 150 studios currently based in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the United States.
Joining other launches in Australia, Dominican Republic, Japan, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea and Spain, with Austria, Germany and the UK set to follow, the addition also correlates with the company’s recent digital platform launch, Xponential+, which is also offered worldwide, and its collaboration with lifestyle-inspired athletic apparel company lululemon to create original fitness programming for the retailer’s smart home gym offering, MIRROR. Xponential most recently reported 2,100 open studios across 10 countries and four continents as of Dec. 31, 2021, the press release reported.
