Industrious confirmed two international acquisitions: The Great Room in Asia and Welkin & Meraki in Continental Europe to develop a global workplace platform, according to a press release.
“We are thrilled to bring on The Great Room and Welkin & Meraki within the Industrious ecosystem,” CEO and co-founder at Industrious, Jamie Hodari, said in a press release. “We look forward to expanding our offering on a global scale to best support emerging work models, while keeping our commitment to the highest customer satisfaction in the industry.”
Under the terms of the agreements, Industrious will add six new territories to its slate of key European and Asia-Pacific markets, which include Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, France, Belgium and The Netherlands. The launches span approximately 1 million square feet of existing and pipeline locations.
“Joining Industrious will bolster our ability to deliver a premium workplace experience on flexible terms across key markets in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific,” founder of Welkin & Meraki, Alain Brossé, said in a press release. “Together, we will become one of the largest operators of flexible workplaces, purpose-built to meet the emerging needs of companies and workers worldwide.”
Specializing in management solutions for newly long-term distributed teams, the company has now expanded its footprint to more than 50 markets across the U.S. and hopes to double its global operations by the end of the year, the press release reveals. This launch will help Industrious improve platforms connected to the workplace to better support hybrid and remote teams and "better capture the growing global demand for experience-driven, flexible space from occupiers of all sizes."
“We are at the crossroads of a fundamental paradigm shift in how and where people work, a key element of which is the evolution of how companies think about the workplace,” CEO and co-founder of The Great Room, Jaelle Ang, said in the press release. “Together with Industrious, we will be able to grow our APAC footprint and meet the needs of an ever-evolving metropolitan workforce.”
