H&M, based in New York, recently entered a collaboration with Paris-based top interior designer and architect India Mahdavi.

"India Mahdavi is the well-thought-of designer in bringing joy, optimism and color to the world of interiors,” said Evelina Kravaev-Söderberg, Head of Design and Creative at H&M Home, in an April 19 press release. “We wanted to create a poetic and contemplative collection, focusing on crafted quality and joyful colors, and we can't wait to introduce our customers to India's impeccable sense of color and design aesthetics.”

The India Mahdavi x H&H Home Collection is scheduled to launch online and in selected stores April 28, the release stated. The vibrant collection of casual plates, large serving bowls, cushion covers, and blanket styles was curated from a wide range of natural ceramics and textiles.

“With gradient color plays, bright hues, and out-of-focus graphics, India Mahdavi was inspired by the blinding colors you see when you close your eyes in front of the sun,” the release stated. “This collection was conceived like a wind of optimism in a world of uncertainty.”

With more than 20 years in business, Mahdavi’s studio has distinguished itself in the market with its unconventional, and multicultural styles, which have gained recognition worldwide, according to H&M. The designer has showcased her work in London, Miami, Paris, Tokyo, and New York.

"With this collection, H&M Home has offered me the opportunity to spread a joyful palette of colors on an international scale," Mahdavi said.
