Asia Society’s division in Northern California will host a virtual roundtable meeting to discuss projections for the future in financial hubs in Asia and economic shifts.

“We think that Asian economies will face headwinds due to higher inflation, supply chain disruptions and weaker demand from key trade partners,” a Fitch Solutions report states.

The off-the-record, executive virtual talk will analyze China’s influence over global economic shifts and the local Asian market as tensions between the U.S and China intensify.

The session will also cover the increasing local consumption in Asia, and how it makes way for potential growth among Asia and its financial peer markets, the description reveals.

The discussion will be hosted by lawyer and investment banker specializing in the financial and legal industries, Zili Shao and non-executive Chairman of Fangda Partners Ambassador Kurt Tong, who serves as a partner and member of the executive committee at The Asia Group and former consul general and chief of mission in Hong Kong and Macau.

It is scheduled for Tuesday, April 26 from 5 to 6 p.m. PST, and will be accessible to Asia Society members. Individuals interested in becoming members must undergo a verification process before joining.
