Hunting PLC subsidiary, Titan Division of Hunting Energy Services, recently received the green light to internationally manufacture its line of detonating cords from the U.S. Department of Transportation.

The catalog set to become accessible includes "conventional, low-shrink and extra-high velocity offerings," such as standard temperature RDX and higher temperature options, a press release reveals.

“Detonating cord dependability is critical to the success of every perforating operation,” a press release stated. “Hunting helps ensure product reliability by manufacturing detonating cords in its specially designed, state-of-the-art facility, and by having complete ownership of its detonating cord engineering and global distribution.”

Based in Houston, Titan Division of Hunting Energy Services has long established its presence in several territories worldwide, including China, Canada, Mexico, Indonesia, Netherlands, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates and the U.S.

The international energy service provider received approval to air-ship the line to other regions after a profitable year in the North American Detonating Cord market, and beyond.

Established in 1874, the company specializes in manufacturing perforating systems, "wireline selective firing systems, cased hole logging instruments, nuclear detectors, energetics and associated wireline hardware and accessories." It is currently traded on the London Stock Exchange.
