Greenleaf Foods, SPC’s brand Field Roast began sharing its plant-based creations with consumers in Canada this week through its partnership with Booster Juice.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Booster Juice to offer their customers a delicious, convenient plant-based option that perfectly complements their healthy, on-the-go menu,” said Adam Grogan, president of Greenleaf Foods, SPC.
Serving as the first plant-based protein section to gain a permanent slot in one of the country’s largest juice and smoothie chains’ menu, the additions include two new sandwiches featuring Field Roast Italian Garlic & Fennel Plant-Based Sausage. A recently released press release reveals that the items became available nationwide on Tuesday, March 1 at Booster Juice’s 410 locations.
Made with an eggplant base and topped with eggplant, onions, sweet peppers and seasoned with sea salt, fennel seed and garlic, the Field Roast Italian Garlic & Fennel Plant-Based Sausage is packed with 27g of protein.
The Italian Crumble Plant Wrap – made with Field Roast Italian Plant-Based Sausage Crumble also serves as a light option, complemented by mixed peppers, onions, spinach and pesto served on a grilled tortilla wrap. Similarly, the Booster Juice Healthy Snacking Menu will also serve as a pesto option, consisting of Italian Crumble Plant-Nini – Made with Field Roast™ Italian Plant-Based Sausage Crumble, mixed peppers, onions, spinach and pesto served on a grilled focaccia flatbread. The item starts at $7.89 CAD/each.
“Our spicy and savory field roast sausage shows plant-based eating can be convenient, flavorful and a great source of protein that satisfies hunger all day long,” Grogan said. “My personal favorite pairing is the ‘Spinach is in it’ smoothie with our Italian Crumble Plant Wrap – simply delicious!”
The Chicago-based company developed the selections based on more than two decades of culinary experience, offering plant-based meats and cheeses made with whole-food ingredients, such as grains, fresh-cut vegetables, herbs and legumes.
“Booster Juice is excited to partner with plant-based industry leader Field Roast to debut new items on our Healthy Food Menu,” said Dale Wishewan, president and CEO of Booster Juice. “We know our customers have come to know Booster Juice for our quality products and this addition falls right in line with our other premium offerings.”
