Lineage Logistics, LLC, a temperature-controlled industrial REIT and logistics solutions provider, announced Jan. 11 the acquisitions of three European companies.
With the acquisition of Van Tuyl Logistics, H&S Coldstores and Frigocare Rotterdam BV, all based in the Netherlands, Lineage hopes to increase transport capacity in Europe and boost its presence in the Netherlands by more than 250,000 cubic meters of capacity, according to a press release published by Business Wire.
“We're proud to welcome Van Tuyl Logistics, H&S Coldstores & Frigocare Rotterdam BV into the #oneLineage family, strengthening our #supplychainlogistics solutions in the Netherlands by more than 250,000 cubic meters!” Lineage stated in a tweet.
The acquisition of Van Tuyl brings transport capacity to Lineage’s Dutch operations and strengthens its end-to-end refrigerated and frozen solutions portfolio, the release stated.
“We are pleased to welcome Van Tuyl Logistics into the One Lineage Family as we continue to build momentum and further expand our European operations,” Harld Peters, senior vice president, Europe at Lineage, said in the release. “The Netherlands remains a critical hub for the food cold chain within the European market, given its central location and accessibility to key seaports and inland terminals. Accordingly, the addition of Van Tuyl will help Lineage connect more points across our customers’ extended supply chains.”
The acquisitions of H&S Coldstores and Frigocare Rotterdam BV give Lineage, which is based in Novi, Michigan, more cold-storage capacity to its Benelux footprint, according to the release. The purchase of H&S Coldstores alone increases capacity by 48,000 tons.
“H&S Coldstores is another fantastic example of our continued investment in the Netherlands,” Peters said in the release. “In particular, their differentiated juice-blending services greatly complement our existing capabilities via our recent acquisition of Kloosterboer and will further diversify our business offering across the cold chain.”
Lineage’s acquisition of Frigocare Rotterdam BV gives the company access to the Port of Rotterdam, as well as 20,000 square meter warehouses, the release stated.
