ReliaQuest recently established a new office in Pune, Maharashtra, India, to continue expanding its role as a tech security leader in Open XDR (extended detection and response) as a service, according to a press release.

ReliaQuest's new office is the business's first in the country, and the company intends to grow its India team to more than 50 employees by the end of 2022.

"Pune is known as a major IT hub with an exceptional talent pool, which makes it a perfect location for our first expansion into the country," ReliaQuest Chief Financial Officer Greg Farrell said in the press release. "ReliaQuest is uniquely positioned for major growth this year, and we are incredibly excited to welcome new team members in India as an impactful part of that growth.”

This announcement follows a successful year for ReliaQuest, which included an over $1 billion valuation in its most recent round of fundraising, the establishment of a new US headquarters in Tampa, Florida, and the addition of a new office near Salt Lake City, Utah.

“2021 was an incredible year of growth and milestones for ReliaQuest, and we are continuing that momentum into 2022 – beginning with this new office location in India," Farrell said.

The India team will be integrated into the ReliaQuest product development division, with positions in backend development, quality assurance, user interface design and DevOps (development and operations).

“Innovation in the security operations center has been a hallmark of ReliaQuest for over a decade,” Chief Product Officer Brian Foster said in the press release.

Additionally, personnel at ReliaQuest's new India location will work to help enhance the company's GreyMatter XDR-as-a-Service platform. GreyMatter's platform is designed to integrate "detection, investigation, reaction, and resilience" by combining data from on-site or cloud-based security or business solutions.

“This expansion will give us the quality of technical talent to continuously innovate and deliver an Open XDR platform that will help security operators be more efficient and proactive with their security posture,” Foster said.

Additionally, the ReliaQuest GreyMatter platform improves security operations by offering unified detection and response that is transparent and automated, the company said.
