Enfusion and Coinbase Global announced Dec. 22 they will partner to ensure secure and seamless cryptocurrency trading on the Coinbase platform for investment managers and financial institutions.
"We're excited to connect our systems with Coinbase as institutions and investment managers seek to add crypto to their investment portfolios," said Thomas Kim, CEO of Enfusion. "Our global community of clients has expressed interest in enabling connectivity for crypto trading from the same platform as their full portfolio. Connecting with Coinbase allows us to continue to deliver to the industry what is the gold-standard OEMS and PMS solution."
Amid the partnership, Enfusion will implement its OEMS and portfolio management system.
"We're excited to launch our first OEMS partnership with Enfusion, as their native multi-asset management system is a natural first choice to collaborate with on a joint institutional offering," added Brett Tejpaul, head of institutional sales, trading and prime at Coinbase.
The fruits of the collaboration are set to be completed in the second quarter of 2022.
"We expect financial institutions to continue to increase their portfolio exposure to crypto, and we're committed to offering the best tools to enable them to manage it efficiently," Tejpaul said.
The new project seeks to allow customers to invest in hedge funds and monitor their crypto assets under one application. Enfusion has partnered with more than 680 investment managers spanning 10 global offices spread across four continents.
Coinbase was founded in 2012 with the primary idea that it could help anyone across the globe to send and receive Bitcoin in a secure manner. These days Coinbase is a widely accepted platform for accessing the broader cryptoeconomy in a user-friendly way.
