Retail chain 7-eleven recently launched its first store in India's largest city, introducing its trademark services, food, and beverages to the country.

The new store officially opened Saturday, Oct. 9 in Mumbai, one of the world's richest cities and India's financial and economic center, according to a press release.

"At Reliance, we pride ourselves on offering up the best to our customers and we are proud to bring 7-Eleven, the globally trusted convenience store, to India," Director of Reliance Ventures Limited, Isha Ambani said, "Seven-Eleven is among the most iconic global brands in the convenience retail landscape. The new pathways we build together with 7-Eleven will offer Indian customers greater convenience and choices within their own neighborhoods."

This new location serves as 7-eleven's 18th region globally and was built in cooperation with 7-India Convenience Retail Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of Reliance Retail Ventures Limited.

The two-story, 1,700-square-foot Mumbai shop features a café and utilizes the company's unique hybrid retail business model, which incorporates both 7-Eleven and regional products.
