 Impossible Foods has expanded into the Middle East, selling its products in the United Arab Emirates.

 “Impossible products are made for every cuisine and culture, and we couldn’t be more excited to launch in our first market in the Middle  East,” Dennis Woodside, president of Impossible Foods, said in a news release. “The United Arab Emirates’ status as a global travel and culinary hub will enable a whole new region of consumers to experience Impossible Burger for the first time.”

The California-based company's flagship product, the Impossible Burger, is available at select restaurants in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the news release said. Those include including Pickl,  Sticky Rice, Akira Back and The MAINE Oyster Bar & Grill. The product will be offered  at World Expo 2020 on select menus in the U.S. Pavilion, the news release said.

Dubai, which has a large international population, is a good location for the Impossible Burger, the company said.

"Dubai’s  top chefs have created some of the world’s most innovative plant-based  dishes to date," the news release said.

According to the company, Impossible Burgers are easier on the environment than traditional meat. They require 96% less land, 87% less water and produce 89% fewer greenhouse gas  emissions, the company said.

"Impossible  Burger also contains no animal hormones or antibiotics," the news release said. "A 113-gram serving of Impossible Burger has 0 milligrams  cholesterol, 14 grams of total fat, 8 grams of saturated fat and 240 calories."
