The Kraft Heinz Company just got even saucier now that it's reached a purchase agreement with Brazil-based condiment and sauce company Companhia Hemmer Industria e Comércio (“Hemmer”).

According to a press release, the deal would add 250 “meal-enhancing” items to the Kraft Heinz lineup, this also enhances the company’s slogan “Let’s Make Life Delicious.”

“This acquisition offers us a valuable opportunity to accelerate our international growth strategy centered around Taste Elevation — our portfolio of high-quality products that enhance the taste of food,” Rafael Oliveira, Kraft Heinz International Zone president, said in the press release. “Hemmer is a legendary company in Brazil, growing net sales significantly, and will bring a delicious and diverse portfolio of products to Kraft Heinz.”

The deal was fueled by Kraft Heinz’s push to increase its presence in Brazil, while Hemmer benefits from Kraft’s distribution network, according to the press release.

Even in the midst of a global health crisis, Kraft Heinz's net sales were in the neighborhood of $26 billion for 2020, the release stated.

According to the press release, Hemmer is headquartered in Santa Catarina Brazil and has been in business since 1915. The company specializes in picked and preserved food, condiments, olive oil and beverages.
