KnowWake is celebrating the completion of its most recent development in the United Kingdom, solidifying yet another step towards its expansion in Europe, according to a press release.

KnowWake is a free waterway navigation app powered by real-time user updates, according to the release.

"A lot of points have been added by users in the region and it was time to fill in the gaps. We really appreciate everyone that has helped add so much to the chart already," KnowWake's founder and chief manager, Dan Karsko, said in the release.

Through a collaboration with local boaters, businesses, and other crowdsourced entries, the company will contribute to the large network by offering space where users can locate marinas, restaurants, dive shops, services, yacht clubs, boat clubs, rental locations, among other listings, the release said.

Similar to Waze, Google Maps and other apps for road use, the app also serves as a space where users can locate historical data, a list of government agencies and safe routes, among other features, the release said.

With its most recent expansion, the company hopes to offer “the entire boating experience.“

"If we're not in your region yet, we want to hear from you, and we're on our way,”  Karsko said.

The company is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
