An upcoming sale at Amazon will feature various beauty products ahead of the 2021 holiday season.
Online beauty sales have surged since the pandemic and Amazon is hoping to become a one-stop destination for holiday shopping, according to an article by CNBC.
The event will run from Oct. 4 through the 25, according to CNBC.
The global beauty market generates more than $500 billion in annual revenues.
There will be a variety of beauty products for sale at the event called the "Holiday Beauty Haul," according to Yahoo.com.
“We want to draw customers back to Amazon during Black Friday week, but also long term with additional marketing levers," Amazon said in the slide deck it sent to beauty brands and consultants, obtained by CNBC. "This is a unique opportunity for selected brands to reach both more shoppers and new customers."
Items for sale include fragrance, men’s grooming items, and winter skincare, Yahoo.com reported.
In 2020, October was a big month for Amazon promotionally as the company delayed its annual Prime Day sales because of the pandemic, according to Chain Store Age.
"This enabled the company to gain Prime Day revenue during the all-important fourth quarter, which also includes the two major retail industry holiday sales events: Black Friday and Cyber Monday," Chain Store Age reported.
