Edmund Optics confirmed plans to further establish its presence in South Korea.

The Barrington, New Jersey, based company, plans to open a new location in one of the largest metro areas in South Korea, the Mapo district of Seoul.

“The office will facilitate internal and external collaboration and communication, enhanced services, a lab for specialized technical support, and easy access for visitors,” a recent press release stated.

The new 2,841-square-foot location serves as a sign of progression for the company, which has operated in Asia for 15 years, the release stated.  The move is intended to attract more employees with the company's state-of-the-art facility.

The expansion will be led by Seheon Kim, who has served as the technical sales manager at the former Seoul office. The executive will be responsible for prioritizing additional expansion opportunities, the release stated.

“The facility strengthens Edmund Optics' presence in the Korean market and serves as an important base for providing the best experience for customers in the region,” the release read.

Edmund Optics also plans to continue investing in technical assistance, digital marketing services via search engine marketing, and live webinar conferences, according to the release.
