Vietnam Dairy Products JSC (Vinamilk) is accelerating its research and development efforts, enriching its products with local flavors to meet customer’s diverse tastes.
Vinamilk has developed products custom-made for the nutritional needs of the Asian, African and Middle Eastern markets, according to an Aug. 23 release. “Along with local partners including domestic and international nutrition research institute cooperation, Vinamilk provides nutritional values that best fit the local market,” the release said.
“Our long-term relationship with Vinamilk was built upon accurate and flexible export services and high-quality products meeting all Japanese standards,” Jun Hamada, Vinamilk's Japanese partner, said in the release. “We found the newly developed Condensed Coconut Milk impressive, and hold very high [expectations] that it will perform well in this market.”
Although businesses struggled during the COVID-19 pandemic, Vinamilk's overseas success kept it afloat.
“Besides maintaining stability in production and business, Vinamilk will continue to promote cohesion and value sharing with [stakeholders],” Mai Kieu Lien, Vinamilk’s CEO, said in another release. “Sustainable development will be oriented towards advanced models of the world dairy industry, in which action plans and initiatives will be rolled out for all parts of the company's value chain, from research and development, farm management, to manufacturing and distribution while improving its subsidiaries corporate governance and operational efficiency.”
The company's goal is to continue its expansion to a global market. It plans to do this while keeping its products “at reasonable prices,” according to the Aug. 23 release. The brand aims to expand into the Philippines by next month.
Vinamilk was the only Vietnamese dairy company in the Top 50 global dairy producers in 2021.
The largest dairy company in Vietnam, Vinamilk has 16 factories locally and nationwide, 13 dairy farms in Vietnam, and approximately 250 types of products, according to a graphic highlighting Vinamilk's financial figures between 2017 to 2020.
Its products include liquid, condensed and powdered milk, probiotics, yogurt, ice cream.
