Kitchens are the heart of every household – a sentiment reinforced by the COVID-19 pandemic – according to BLANCO, an international company that produces kitchen products.
“With consumers spending more time at home last year, the kitchen became even more integral to homeowners,” the company said in a news release. “BLANCO sees the kitchen — and specifically the water hub where consumers drink, prep and clean — as the heart of the home.”
The company had record global sales in 2020 and is now investing in training, production and quality “to ensure a safe and secure framework for future growth,” the news release said.
“Reliability is part of the company DNA; it drives us,” BLANCO CEO Frank Gfrörer said in a statement. “We want to become an excellent and reliable system provider in our international markets as well as increase our global footprint.”
BLANCO is increasing production of its Silgranit sink, the news release said.
It is expanding production facilities in the Czech Republic, Canada and Germany. It is building a new test center at its headquarters in Oberderdingen, Germany.
"You can see the new strategy taking effect everywhere now," CEO Frank Gfrörer said in a statement. "One very important aspect is the increased focus on the consumer and the promise associated with a premium brand."
The company has expanded its digital services, including an international virtual training platform for retail and sales partners, planners, designers, installers and employees.
Founded nearly a century ago, Blanco has been operating in North America for more than 30 years. It focuses on making kitchens environmentally friendly, easier to use and reliable.
The BLANCO unit is “ a complete rethink of the kitchen water hub encouraging the sustainable use of resources,” the company said. “The high-quality, perfectly coordinated components, complete with a drinking water system or a simple faucet, sink and waste separation system, fit seamlessly into kitchen life as a high-quality overall solution.”
