School of Rock is increasing the number of its franchises in South Africa with the launch of a new master franchise agreement.
Keith Taeuber and Leigh Spaun, franchise owners of School of Rock Claremont, in Cape Town, South Africa, have entered into an agreement to open at least eight new franchise locations across the country in the next eight years, according to a press release.
"School of Rock is thrilled to be increasing our franchise presence in South Africa," Rob Price, CEO of School of Rock said in the press release. "Leigh and Keith have an incredible passion for music education and students' personal development, which is why they've already had an immense impact on the Claremont community. They're the perfect partners to lead our expansion throughout the country."
These new locations will join the 291 existing School of Rock locations currently operating internationally in 11 countries across the globe. According to the press release, School of Rock will also be opening new locations in Taiwan, Ireland, Colombia and Portugal in the upcoming year.
School of Rock is a music school for students of all skill levels, ages, and musical aspirations, according to the company's website. Students can choose from a broad range of musical disciplines including guitar, piano and singing.
Since 2009, the number of students attending School of Rock classes has grown from 4,000 to more than 40,000.
