Global family entertainment giant Chuck E. Cheese is getting ready to expand to Romania after signing a franchise development agreement with EWAS Management Solutions.

"I experienced the Chuck E. Cheese brand with my family on an international trip and saw an exciting opportunity of bringing this brand to Romania," Gabriel Teodorescu, co-owner of EWAS Management Solutions with his wife Anda Teodorescu, said in a press release. "During our due diligence of the brand, we were impressed with a robust, turn-key, highly profitable franchise business model."

Chuck E. Cheese’s Chief Marketing Officer Sherri Landy told pymnts.com that international growth is a key goal for the company going forward after surviving the pandemic. Landry also said the brand will be offering a mobile-all that features digital ordering and loyalty rewards.

Chuck E. Cheese operates nearly 100 international locations throughout 17 regions and recently opened stores in El Salvador and Peru, with plans to open a location in Bahrain in the near future, the release said. The brand has locations in 47 of the United States and has donated more than $19 million to schools through fundraising programs, the press release said.
