Yuanta Financial Holding Company (FHC) held its third supplier ESG exchange conference of 2025 on December 9, focusing on the theme “Strengthening Corporate Resilience and Information Security Governance.” The event included presentations from Far EasTone Telecommunications’ Corporate and International Business Group and Yuanta Futures’ Information Department. Topics addressed global information security risks and trends in sustainable management. Outstanding suppliers for 2024 were also recognized during the conference.

The company has adjusted the themes of its annual ESG conferences to help suppliers keep pace with new sustainability trends, inviting participants based on relevant topics. Over the past seven years, nearly a thousand companies have taken part in these events. Earlier conferences this year focused on carbon emissions management and diversity, equity, and inclusion. The most recent meeting emphasized governance issues, particularly information security resilience and risk management.

Yuanta FHC aims to foster practical exchanges among enterprises to strengthen supply chain information security defenses. According to the company, “Yuanta FHC convened suppliers with the goal of cross-enterprise practical exchange to collectively enhance supply chain information security defenses. The event commended outstanding suppliers for 2024, acknowledging partners’ contributions to sustainable governance and demonstrating Yuanta FHC’s determination to work with the supply chain to implement sustainable governance.”

Information security is considered vital in the financial sector due to reliance on trading systems and real-time data processing. Yuanta Futures shared its experience at the conference, discussing frameworks for information security governance, threat detection methods, offensive-defensive drills, zero-trust architectures, trading system protection strategies, and managing supply chain information security.

The company stated that building resilience in supply chain governance is essential for long-term corporate sustainability. It conducts annual evaluations and ongoing monitoring of suppliers' performance in governance, information security, and transparency. As described by Yuanta FHC: “Supply chain governance resilience is key to corporate sustainability. Through annual evaluations, engagements, and continuous monitoring, Yuanta FHC drives ongoing improvements in suppliers’ governance capabilities, information security, and management transparency. Together with partners, we build a more stable, secure, and sustainable supply chain ecosystem.”
