Two protests are set to take place at Freedom Square in Bratislava on Monday, December 15 and Tuesday, December 16, both starting at 6:00 PM. The U.S. Embassy in Slovakia has issued a notice to U.S. citizens regarding these demonstrations.

The embassy advises that the protests may cause disruptions to traffic and public transportation in the area, and there will be an increased police presence on Freedom Square and nearby streets. There is also a possibility of counterprotests occurring during this time.

In its message, the embassy urges individuals to avoid demonstrations if possible and remain cautious of their surroundings. "Avoid demonstrations, if possible; Be cautious of your surroundings and practice situational awareness at all times; Monitor local media for updates; Stay aware of spontaneous counter-protests; If altercations or violence occurs, remove yourself and any family/group members from the area immediately to a safe location (police officer, known public area, etc.); Set a predetermined time and location to meet with friends and family should you become separated."
