Fubon Financial Holdings has been recognized for its efforts in promoting gender equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace. The company received the "Workplace Gender Equality Certification" from the Department of Labor, Taipei City Government for the third consecutive year. This certification is regarded as the first city-level award in Asia focused on gender equality and evaluates companies using eight indicators and 31 criteria that include human resources policies, welfare systems, education, training, and workplace culture.

Richard M. Tsai, Chairman of Fubon Financial Holdings, commented on the achievement: "Creating a diverse, inclusive, and healthy workplace environment is a crucial foundation for sustainable business development. Equality is not only a responsibility that companies must uphold, but it is also key to fostering creativity and strengthening team cohesion. We aspire for every employee, regardless of gender, age or background, to realize their potential within an environment of fairness and respect. Through robust systems, we cultivate a workplace culture where employees can perform with ease and grow with confidence."

The company has introduced several initiatives to support work-life balance among employees. These include a NT$100,000 birth allowance per newborn and an annual childcare subsidy of NT$24,000 for children under six years old. Maternity leave provisions exceed legal requirements with 10 weeks' maternity leave, 8 days' prenatal check-up leave, and 8 days' paternity leave offered to staff. In 2024 alone, Fubon Financial Holdings provided subsidies totaling more than NT$170 million across over 4,800 instances and welcomed over 760 babies born to employees.

In addition to financial support measures for parents, Fubon Financial Holdings organizes seminars featuring experts who address topics such as parenting and gender issues to help foster positive attitudes toward equality in the workplace.

The company also offers preferential products under its ‘Women's Care’ program as part of employee benefits. This includes discounts on postnatal care centers and other products aimed at supporting female employees during pregnancy and beyond.

To further advance gender equality within its operations, Fubon Financial Holdings partnered with the Ministry of Justice to host a seminar aimed at raising awareness about gender discrimination and bias in the workplace.

Environmental design changes have also been implemented at office locations. Dedicated breastfeeding rooms are managed by designated staff members; these facilities have received multiple government certifications for meeting exemplary standards. The main building now features gender-neutral toilets as well as disabled-friendly facilities designed to ensure accessibility for all users.

Fubon Financial Holdings stated it will continue prioritizing workplace equality while working with employees to create an inclusive environment that sets a benchmark for gender-friendly workplaces.
