BMO has announced it will lower its US dollar prime lending rate from 7.00 percent to 6.75 percent, with the change taking effect on December 11, 2025.

BMO Financial Group is among the largest banks in North America by assets, with a total of $1.5 trillion as of October 31, 2025. The bank provides personal and commercial banking, wealth management, global markets, and investment banking services to about 13 million clients in Canada, the United States, and selected international markets.
