U.S. Ambassador meets King Abdullah II to discuss Gaza conflict and regional cooperation

Ambassador Mike Waltz, the United States Representative to the United Nations, met with King Abdullah II of Jordan on December 7, 2025. The meeting focused on bilateral and regional issues, including the implementation of President Trump’s 20-point Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict.

During their discussion, Ambassador Waltz expressed appreciation for Jordan's efforts in providing humanitarian relief to Palestinians in Gaza as outlined in the U.S. plan. Both parties also addressed the importance of maintaining stability in the West Bank.

The meeting included talks about strengthening bilateral cooperation and expanding their partnership at the United Nations. Ambassador Waltz reiterated ongoing U.S. support for peace, stability, and prosperity in collaboration with Jordan.
