Meta announced it is expanding the range of real-time content available through its Meta AI platform. Users who ask news-related questions to Meta AI will now receive information and links from a broader set of sources, including global breaking news, entertainment, and lifestyle stories.
The company said these new integrations are designed to make it easier for users to access information by linking directly to articles from partner websites. This approach also aims to help media partners reach new audiences.
As part of this expansion, Meta has partnered with several major outlets such as CNN, Fox News, Fox Sports, Le Monde Group, the People Inc. portfolio of media brands, The Daily Caller, The Washington Examiner, USA TODAY and the USA TODAY Network. Meta stated that it plans to continue adding more partnerships and exploring new features in order to improve user experience.
Meta emphasized its commitment to making Meta AI more responsive and balanced. "We’re committed to making Meta AI more responsive, accurate, and balanced. Real-time events can be challenging for current AI systems to keep up with, but by integrating more and different types of news sources, our aim is to improve Meta AI’s ability to deliver timely and relevant content and information with a wide variety of viewpoints and content types."
