Macquarie Group Limited has announced the appointment of William Vereker as an independent non-executive director to its board, effective from February 1, 2026. The announcement was made by Chair Glenn Stevens.
Vereker is based in London and brings experience in global financial services, organizational change management, and risk management. He currently serves as a non-executive director and Chair of the Board Remuneration Committee at London Stock Exchange Group. Additionally, he is a member of the investment committee for Delancey Real Estate Credit Fund, sits on the advisory board of Celonis GmbH, and chairs the advisory board at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. Until August 2025, he was Chair of Santander UK.

The appointment is subject to necessary approvals. Once finalized, it will bring the total number of members on the Macquarie Group Board to nine.
