Smith became the first woman president of Sun Life Global Investments and has led efforts to position the firm as the largest Canadian-based target date fund investment manager. Under her leadership, assets under management have surpassed $61 billion, with offerings for both retail and institutional clients. The company has introduced its first exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and new segregated funds.
