United States congratulates Saint Lucia on completion of national elections

The United States has extended its congratulations to the people of Saint Lucia following the successful completion of their national elections. In a statement, U.S. officials expressed anticipation for continued collaboration with Prime Minister Philip Pierre and his government.

"We look forward to engaging with Prime Minister Philip Pierre and his administration as we pursue our mutual interests in security, sustainable development, and the advancement of democratic values," the statement read.

The U.S. also acknowledged the enduring relationship between the two countries, emphasizing ongoing cooperation across the Eastern Caribbean. "The United States appreciates its longstanding friendship with Saint Lucia and remains committed to close cooperation throughout the Eastern Caribbean," according to the release.

In addition, American officials praised Saint Lucians for their dedication to democratic processes. "We commend the Saint Lucian people for their steadfast commitment to democratic participation and the peaceful exercise of their civic responsibilities," they stated.
