The U.S. Embassy in Bosnia & Herzegovina has announced an online auction of surplus property, which will begin on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 10 a.m. The auction will run until Monday, December 1, 2025, closing at 9 a.m.
According to the embassy, participants can bid on various high-quality items. "Get ready for a unique opportunity to own high-quality items, directly from the U.S. Embassy! Starting Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 10 a.m., the U.S. Embassy will be hosting a limited-time online auction, where you can place your bids on exclusive items – but hurry, time is running out!" the announcement states.
To participate in the auction, interested individuals should visit online-auction.state.gov and select the Sarajevo BA section. Detailed instructions are available under “How It Works.” Registration requires providing personal information for processing.
"With detailed bidding instructions available online, the process is seamless and easy for first-time bidders and seasoned auction-goers alike," according to the embassy statement.
All payments must be made in local currency on either Wednesday, December 3 or Thursday, December 4, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Winning bidders will receive an email with payment and pickup details.
The embassy notes that all items are sold “as-is” without guarantees. "Please note that all items are sold 'as-is' with no guarantees – a great chance for bargain hunters and savvy shoppers!" reads part of the release.
Winners will be contacted regarding collection times for their purchases.
