ING Group has introduced a new feature in its Dutch mobile banking app, allowing users to round up their payments and invest the spare change. The initiative is aimed at making investing more accessible for customers in the Netherlands.

According to ING, the feature enables customers to automatically round up each card payment to the next euro and have the difference invested in selected funds. This service is designed for those who want to start investing small amounts without having to make large one-time contributions.

The company states that this approach helps customers gradually build an investment portfolio over time. ING emphasizes that all investments are subject to market risks and encourages users to review their financial situation before using the new feature.

"With this feature, we aim to make investing easier and more approachable for everyone," said a spokesperson from ING Group.

The new function is available through the latest update of ING’s mobile banking app in the Netherlands. Users can activate or deactivate the rounding-up option at any time within the app settings.
