During the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, a case study from Sinopec Sales CO., Ltd. Hainan Oil Branch was recognized in a list highlighting green energy initiatives. The Center for Environmental Education and Communications of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China, together with the C Team, released “2025 Beautiful China Case Studies of Distinguished Green Users for Space,” which included Sinopec’s project titled “Building a carbon-neutral energy station.”
The selected project features an energy station that uses a comprehensive approach by combining photovoltaic power generation, traditional refueling, gas supply, and electric vehicle charging services. The site includes a 261.45-kilowatt photovoltaic power station to support a diverse supply of green energy.
Sinopec Sales CO., Ltd. Hainan Oil Branch has increased its focus on solar power in recent years. It has installed photovoltaic panels at 214 different energy stations, achieving a total installed capacity of 7.9 megawatts and generating close to 20 million kilowatt-hours of electricity.
