Stephanie Syptak-Ramnath Ambassador | U.S. Embassy in Peru

Consular staff from the U.S. Embassy in Lima will visit the U.S. Consular Agency in Cusco during the week of December 1, 2025. During this period, U.S. citizens residing or traveling in Cusco can request appointments for passport renewals, registering births abroad to U.S. citizen parents, and notarial services.

Appointments are limited and will be given to those who submit complete requests by email as specified by the embassy. Further details about the time and location in Cusco will be provided once appointments are confirmed.

Passport services will be available for both adults and minors applying for new passports or renewals. However, adults eligible for mail-in renewal must use that option instead of scheduling an appointment.

For those seeking a Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA), applicants must create a MyTravelGov eCRBA account, submit their application online through eCRBA, pay the $100 fee via Pay.gov—the only accepted payment method—and then email their case number to CuscoACS@state.gov with the subject “eCRBA Appointment Request CUSCO.” Once received, cases will be reviewed and applicants contacted to schedule an interview with a consular officer in Cusco. The presence of both parents and child is required at the appointment.

Notarial services are also available by appointment; interested individuals should email CuscoACS@state.gov with “Notarial appointment CUSCO” as the subject line along with their name.

Contact information for both U.S. Embassy Lima and the Consular Agency in Cusco is provided on their official website https://pe.usembassy.gov.

The Department of State recently updated its Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) on September 16, 2024; travelers wishing to continue receiving alerts need to re-enroll at step.state.gov.
