Everest Group, Ltd. has announced that Elias Habayeb will become the company's Executive Vice President and Group Chief Financial Officer, effective around May 1, 2026. He will take over from Mark Kociancic, who is retiring after five years with Everest. Kociancic will remain as a special advisor during the transition.
Habayeb brings more than three decades of experience in finance within the insurance and financial services sectors. Most recently, he was CFO at Corebridge Financial, where he managed finance and actuarial operations and contributed to earnings growth and capital returns. Prior to that, Habayeb held chief financial officer positions at various divisions of American International Group (AIG), including General Insurance and Life & Retirement. He also led the IPO that established Corebridge Financial as an independent company. Earlier in his career, he worked as CFO for International Lease Finance Corporation, an AIG subsidiary, and was a partner at Deloitte & Touche’s Capital Markets Group.
