As Oman marks its National Day, U.S. Ambassador Ana A. Escrogima offered congratulations to Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and the people of Oman, highlighting the nation’s achievements and the longstanding partnership between the two countries.

“The United States deeply values our enduring partnership, built on historic ties, trust, mutual respect, and a shared vision for a peaceful and prosperous future,” Escrogima said.

She acknowledged Oman’s role as a mediator in regional affairs: “Oman’s role as a mediator and bridge-builder has long advanced regional stability and reflects a tradition of thoughtful and measured diplomacy respected throughout the world.”

Escrogima also noted the history of U.S.-Oman relations. “The U.S.-Oman friendship is one of America’s oldest, dating back to 1790 when the first American ship reached the shores of Muscat. Our cooperation spans the fields of trade, defense, education, and innovation, pillars that strengthen the foundation of our nations and contribute to a more secure and prosperous Gulf.”

She concluded by referencing continued collaboration: “Guided by President Trump’s vision of peace and prosperity in the region, the United States is committed to working alongside Oman in its trailblazing efforts to foster dialogue, expand opportunity and build a bright future marked by innovation and progress in the years to come.”
