The U.S. Secretary of State has issued a statement congratulating Oman on its National Day. In the message, the Secretary recognized the longstanding relationship between the United States and Oman, noting that their friendship has lasted for over two centuries.

The statement read: "On behalf of the United States of America, I extend warm congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and to the people of the Sultanate of Oman on the occasion of your National Day."
