Siemens and Delta Power Solutions have formed a technology partnership aimed at improving the deployment of data centers. Siemens is providing its expertise in consulting, planning, and implementing intelligent electrical infrastructure, while Delta is contributing efficient uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, batteries, and thermal regulation technologies.

The collaboration focuses on supplying prefabricated modules that house various electrical components for power supply. These modules, known as SKIDs or eHouses, are assembled and tested by both companies before delivery. The modular design allows for plug-and-play installation at the deployment site, reducing the amount of space required and shortening commissioning times. There is also less need for construction work on site.

According to Siemens and Delta, this approach can reduce investment costs by up to 20 percent due to decreased concrete requirements. Additionally, it offers environmental benefits with a potential reduction in carbon emissions of up to 27 percent. The primary markets targeted for these solutions are Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
