The U.S. Embassy in Peru has announced the launch of a national graphic exhibition marking 200 years of diplomatic relations between the United States and Peru. The exhibition will travel to eight cities across the country, with each location hosting the display on specific dates from October through December.

The exhibition aims to highlight key aspects of the bilateral relationship, including security, trade, culture, and education. According to the embassy, education is a central theme of the initiative. The embassy states that more than 85,000 students each month participate in English language learning and exchange programs supported by its network and Peruvian-North American binational centers.

"Through historical and contemporary images, the exhibition underscores the pillars that have strengthened the relationship between both countries, fostering a more prosperous, secure, and resilient hemisphere," reads an official statement from the embassy.

The U.S. Embassy also expressed gratitude for "the binational centers for over 80 years of collaboration and their fundamental role in strengthening relations between our countries."

As part of preparations leading up to May 2, 2026—the official bicentennial anniversary—the United States reaffirmed its commitment "to continue working together to strengthen ties, promote mutual growth, and expand opportunities that benefit future generations."

For those unable to visit in person or for educators seeking additional materials about this commemoration, further resources are available on the embassy's website.
