The U.S. Embassy in Tunis has issued a request for quotes (RFQ) for the purchase of one dental chair, with a submission deadline set for December 2, 2025, at 4 p.m. According to the announcement, vendors are required to provide their best VAT-free offers and ensure that the equipment is immediately available from local stock rather than being imported specifically for this order.
The embassy has specified that delivery, installation, and training related to the dental chair will take place in Djerba. Vendors must submit both technical and financial offers in separate sealed envelopes. The technical offer should include proof of an established business, detailed technical specifications of the dental chair, and NDAA certification. The financial offer must be VAT-free and signed with an official stamp.
Submissions should be clearly marked as “Quotation Enclosed” and sent to the American Embassy Tunis at 1053 Les Berges du Lac, addressed to GSO/Contracting Officer referencing PR15674282. Late proposals will not be considered.
The embassy states: "The RFQ does not commit the American Embassy to make any award." It also notes its intention "to award the Purchase Order to the technically qualified, lowest price quote."
Vendors are also reminded of a new requirement regarding NDAA compliance and are directed to review relevant information on government acquisition regulations at https://www.acquisition.gov/far/52.204-24.
Payment terms specify that payment will be made within 30 days after receipt of both the order and original invoice containing banking information.
