The American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) has announced an open solicitation for firms to provide automobile maintenance and repair services. The opportunity, listed under BPA Advertisement No. TPE200-25-BPA-0005, is available to businesses in Taiwan that meet specific qualifications.
According to AIT, interested companies must have a permanent business address and telephone listing in Taiwan. They are also required to show evidence of previous performance with appropriate references and possess at least three years of experience in the relevant field. Firms should have qualified personnel, necessary equipment, and sufficient financial resources to carry out the work.
Other requirements include holding all licenses and permits mandated by local law, meeting local insurance standards, maintaining a clean criminal record, and having no political or business affiliations that could conflict with AIT’s interests. Payment terms will be NET 30 days via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), and firms must be able to issue commercial invoices exclusive of a 5% tax. Compliance with Section 889 of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is also mandatory.
Firms wishing to participate are instructed: "Firms interested in having business with AIT, please contact AIT Procurement via Taipei_Procurement@state.gov during office hours Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. no later than December 23, 2025 to obtain more information."
The closing date for responses is December 23, 2025.
