Fubon Financial Holdings announced that four of its subsidiaries—Fubon Life, Taipei Fubon Bank, Fubon Insurance, and Fubon Securities—have each received the "Sports Enterprise Certification" for the fourth consecutive year. The certification recognizes companies in Taiwan that actively promote sports participation among employees and support the development of sports culture.
With these recent certifications, a total of six companies under Fubon Financial Holdings, including Fubon Financial Holdings itself and Fubon Sports & Entertainment (certified in 2023), have been recognized. This makes Fubon one of the financial institutions in Taiwan with the highest number of certified subsidiaries.
Fubon Life has organized several activities to encourage employee health and fitness. Initiatives include “ultra-slow jogging flash events” across different regions of Taiwan and competitions such as walking, weight loss, table tennis, hiking events, and fitness courses. Thousands of employees have participated in these programs aimed at balancing work and life through physical activity. The company also provides dedicated fitness centers for staff and offers health checkups that go beyond regulatory requirements.
In addition to internal efforts, Fubon Life sponsors public sporting events such as the Kaohsiung Fubon Marathon and supports the UBA College Basketball League. It also backs professional basketball and baseball teams along with promising athletes.
Taipei Fubon Bank has been recognized for supporting sports initiatives under its philosophy of "Be Positive All Possibleᵀᴹ." The bank organizes financial literacy classes for students on rural junior high and elementary school baseball teams. These sessions often feature players from the Fubon Guardians who discuss career planning and wealth management with young athletes.
The bank encourages a fitness culture among employees by maintaining a fitness center, establishing sports clubs—including road running, badminton, and table tennis—and organizing regular outdoor activities like hiking and cycling. Health seminars are held to share expertise on topics such as physical fitness and injury prevention.
Fubon Insurance has introduced programs like the “Healthy Forest Walking Program,” which converts employees’ daily steps into tree-planting credits to link exercise with environmental benefits. The company continues to offer wellness seminars, health checkups, subsidies for employee-led fitness clubs, and develops insurance products covering various recreational activities such as road running, mountain climbing, and marine sports.
Fubon Securities was awarded the Ministry of Sports' 2025 “Sports Enterprise Certification” for promoting employee wellness through multiple sports clubs, dedicated fitness spaces, diverse courses, and public sponsorships. In 2024 alone, over NT$7 million was invested in promoting sports with more than 3,500 participants involved in related activities. Senior executives participated directly in some events to set an example within the organization.
The company has also combined social responsibility with its financial expertise by organizing community events like a table tennis tournament focused on anti-fraud awareness; during one event at the G!POP Music Festival officials from law enforcement delivered presentations on fraud prevention.
